I have a totally crazy 80 pound pup I am trying to train to walk nicely on a leash. After testing several methods I found a high quality prong collar to be the most effective so far. However, the prong collar can occasionally come undone and I have been terrified that will happen at a bad time and he will get hurt or lost. This inexpensive Dog Collar Safety Clip is so simple and fits so well with any collar or harness I guarantee it will give you peace of mind.The swivel hooks on each end are big enough to hook to any fastener yet not so big they are cumbersome. They are a very high quality metal, no plastic. The braiding in between the hooks is clearly very strong, weather resistant, and durable. I got blue and it is vibrant. I would definitely purchase this item again. It is a great back up whether you're walking a strong large breed dog or a cat that sometimes slips his harness.

I got this safety clip because my dog sometimes slips out of his no-pull front harness. I clip this to his collar and no-pull harness. He hasn't slipped out yet but it's good to know that there is this added security. They are easy to clip. The cord is not stiff and very durable.

I use thos clip to attach my two dogs together to walk and keep them close and it works great. Especially when im training a new puppy. The size works great bc the dogs are similar in size. Its durable. Easy to comtroland attach.

As I mentioned in the title, this thing has been working great and a really nice addition to my dog's walking kit. The paracord seems good, and has only a little stretch, but my main concern is the light-duty nature of the clasps. They just seem alot smaller and not quite built to the standard for a large dog id expect. Specifically the moving bar is very thin and dainty looking, So although it feels strong, it certainly doesnt bode confidence like a slightly thicker more "standard" sized leash clasp would. For me im using this as a backup so i'm not overly concerned about it, but if you really need some confidence in this, you may want to look for something else if you have a large strong dog who loves to pull.

My JR is an escape artist and has escaped 11 escape-free type harnesses. So I bought one of these tethers and attach it between my dog’s leash and Martingale collar loop. Works like a charm. First time she slipped from her newest harness (on day 2 after we tried it) she got out of the harness but was still attached to the collar. 10/10 wish I’d thought of this before I bought so many harnesses!

This does exactly what expected. Prong collar broke but this held fast to his main collar.

Purchased to use as a safety clip for my dog’s prong collar. The clips work smoothly, and the length is great, allowing enough room between the prong collar, the leash, and her regular collar with room for when the collars/leash shift during our walks and runs. The material feels sturdy and I anticipate it lasting a while. Although it’s been rare that her leash detaches from the prong, this 2 second extra step before we leave brings so much peace of mind, especially since we walk in a high traffic are. The leash came off the prong recently, and having her leash still connected to her regular collar made me realize just how important this item is!

Everyone I know who uses a prong training collar for their dogs told me that having a safety strap attached to a second collar was a must. I checked them out on Amazon and bought the PetBonus one in blue to match his name & phone number collar (yes he's microchipped). It hasn't really been needed yet as the prong collar hasn't unhinged but it is easy to use appears to be well made of good quality and does provide the safety and security advertised. I'm very happy with it.

This has been a life-saver. It does what it was meant for. We have a Leonberger that can snap out of any leash at moments notice when he sees foxes. This extra bit has given us peace of mind.

This product works great for added security when my dog may slip out of his harness.

Work as designed.We use it with a gentle lead, which when the beast starts acting out, isn’t secure enough by it self.Size is fine, but could be dragging for a lower dog. Ours is a 90 lbs BTC.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do at a fair price

Bought this for my pup because we needed a backup safety for his prong collar. He is reactive (we’re working on it), but he can pull a lot, so functionality of a back-up clip is essential! It’s super easy to use and put on, and it works really well. The clips are secure, the material is durable, and the size is just right. Overall, I think these are very well made, and I’d highly recommend them

After having a prong collar fail, not once but twice we have added this safety strap to all three of our dogs collars whether they are in a harness or prong collar as insurance. It is a big piece of mind to know that if the collar snaps off, we will have time to react before we are off to the races, chasing very athletic dogs. The length is perfect, it also serves as a handle if we are just walking from house to their exercise run. Very nice quality, easy to use and great price point.
