I'm not a fan of retractable dog leashes. They are a safety hazard and there is no control over your dog unless your pup is well trained. I'm lucky to have a fenced in yard but when I stay at my folks we have to walk on a leash for potty breaks. I use the retractable so she can have some semblance of privacy and a chance to explore more than 6 feet from me. I was happy when I came across the short dog leash. It's nice to have an added security strap in the event the leash is pulled out of my hands.
It's semi useful when I clean up after my pup. I can be hands free but sometimes the plastic retractable leash handle can get in the way.
Once I figured out how to attach the leash through the retractable leash we haven't had any issues. I had to get on Amazons page to find instructions. All in all, I like the extra security the short leash gives me.

I have a farmers market near my house that I like to take my dog to when I am purchasing groceries. As one can guess, it gets a little difficult carrying bags of groceries home and hold on to a leash. My dog loves the longer 26 foot leashes but the handle does not fit around my wrist. This makes it perfect that I can wear the leash on my wrist and have my hands open to carry groceries. Great idea!

My dog is still being leash trained, so having this extra layer of safety when he pulls is important! This strap is easily adjustable for your wrist size and comfort level, and easy to grip. I have arthritis and the retractable leash has been tugged away from me on more than one occasion which is scary because he's a runner. I feel much more comfortable going on walks with this product, and the reflective parts help me to see at night. While sturdy enough for me, I have a 12 lb dog, I'm not positive it'd be sturdy enough for a large dog who pulls a lot.... This comes with two different metal rings which is a nice feature if one breaks, or you want to just choose between the two.

The wrist strap is very strong and firm, and it feels like it can hold a tiger. Tie it to the dog's leash and then put it on the wrist, so that the dog starts suddenly, and the leash will not fall off.

It's abit of a puzzle at first but once you get the ring part figured out (it's super easy) this totally feels comfortable, secure and strong. I normally use a carabiner through a belt loop but this will do nicely to have in our arsenal of dog walking necessities.

Saftey lead to go on to the extendable handle lead part- ideal an i was seceptical to start with, however im pleased i brought an in a ' two pack' so value very good i feel.

I got this product mainly so my dog wouldn��t rip my arm off when she suddenly would spot a squirrel and try to run after it. I dropped my retractable leash half a dozen times prior to getting this.

What a strong, well-made product! My strong pibble is a puller, so I must have a leash and hands-free extender that can handle his strength. I love the round carabiner, and use the extra one to attach keychains to my bags. The stitching is so strong, and it really is reflective - bonus! I will use this product until it wears out, so I anticipate it may be decades!

I've shyed away from using a retractable leash because I've been afraid of accidentally losing my grip of it if my dog pulled too hard. When I saw this I knew I had to give it a try. I am so glad I did! I feel so much more secure knowing that even if he did pull and the leash was pulled out of my hand, he would still be attached to my wrist. It is very comfortable and well made with good, solid materials.

We purchased this as our dog can lunge and has pulled his retractable leash out of my hand. It has a hard plastic handle which can get slippery especially in the rain. This gives an extra layer of security. It��s also great if you need to release the leash handle for a moment to use your phone or carry your coffee.

After an incident when the dog pulled the extendible lead from my hand, I got this and no more worries. Easily adjusts to the width of my wrist.

GREAT replacement for wife's tea glass jug. Have to look at AMAZON ad to know how it comes together...no instructions but no problem with ad.

The strap is very well made and sturdy and made of high grade material. Unfortunately the spare connector ring broke apart on the first attempt to connect. Makes me feel a little uneasy if the attached ring will last.!! It would be comforting to have a spare ring just in case. A replacement would be highly appreciated. Thanks. Good quality and sturdy. The softer orange lining is comfortable as well. I use this for a 55lb dog. I bought it as a safety measure for when my dog pulls suddenly and I loose grip on the retractable leash handle which I so far have not had happen thankfully. I found another use for it as a way to free up both hands to deal with the poo bag by locking the leash and letting it dangle from my wrist via this wrist strap. Can easily recommend this product.

My Jack Russell is always go,go, go, as is true to the breed. I like the extra modicum of security this provides for when he sees a squirrel or anything else that catches his interest causing him to make a quick bolt in pursuit. It also allows me to let the leash go and have a free hand to open a baggie to clean up his droppings, offer some water or treats while still having him in my control. It's comfortable, easy to adjust and good quality material.

I've been using one of thse at a time with my extendable leash and my 140+lb Great Pyrenees who has at times come close to ripping my arm off.
Only once one of the connections broke and my 1?yr old Brat of a dog who has ran all the way up to a 55mph rd. It a ways away. The time the connection broke and he was free I think he was stunned and didn't run but a few more steps.
I'm sure that had this broke a few other times he would have taken off.
I am unable to run so it takes awhile for ne to hopefully find him.
I'm so very happy that since I started using this I've not had a runaway dog, a expensive gift from my niece.

I got these to use on my retractable leash and one for our son to use for his dog's retractable leash as well. We recently went on a trip and we did a lot of walking. These helped so much. It was nice to know that this was around our wrist and would stay on if the dog suddenly pulled the handle of the retractable leash out of our hand. Luckily that did not happen, but just knowing made it better. It was easy to attach to our retractable leash handle. I would highly recommend you give it a try!!

This leash is so useful. I just got a pet stroller for my puppy and I used it for the handles. I've heard of horror stories when the pet stroller slips away but with this dog leash that won't happen. I felt super secure while taking my dog for a walk! What a great invention.
